FAQs About Therapy
Do you keep things I say confidential?
Clients have the legal and ethical right to confidentiality. This means the information shared in therapy will be kept within the context of therapy, except where law or ethics mandates otherwise (as will be discussed in your initial assessment). You must sign a consent to release information before information about you can be released to other people or institutions not covered under the mandates of law or ethics.
How long does therapy take?
The length of therapy depends on the specific issues you may be struggling with and the goals you wish to accomplish. Therapy should remain goal-focused, and typically weekly until measured progress is observed.
How much does therapy cost? What type of payment method do you take?
My fee is $160 for a 45- 50 minute session. (The Initial Session is slightly longer, and is $175)
Payment is collected at the time of the session. Debit, credit, and HSA/ FSA cards will be kept on file for convenience of processing.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time. Although I am not on insurance panels, I will be happy to provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company, at your request. Please contact your insurance company for more information.
